OtaDigi - Uusi-TV kilpailu (New-TV competition) for students ! By this competition we are trying to find new innovations for the domain of interactive Digi-tv content or/and technology. The competition is for students. So if you have studied at least 6 months during the period of 24.5.2007 - 30.04.2008 or are still a student, this will be possible for you to participate (in case of you will be the award-winner you have to be prepared to prove your studies) or if you'll have some student group you'll guide in the work, this will be OK as well for your students. You may leave your proposal as a written format or as a demonstration application. The written concept should contain one A4 paper as a short description and you may include as many documents as annexes you'll need. The electric format text, content or demonstration should be copied on a PC compatible CD-Rom or DVD. Including this short A4 description mentioned in the previous chapter. You may even use a web server installation. In this case you should tell the Web-address and leave user rights for the jury (if the service is not available all the time jury needs to make their decision, we cannot ensure the participation, so it's a bit risky). The participating work should not remind any existing application or content. The participating work can be for example a diploma work or part of studies in some educational institute like university. Participants should have rights and be ready to make agreement to utilize their work as commercial purposes by a separate contract between you/participating persons and the possible commercial contractor party. The contract negotiations do not include to the competition but are separate and free for both parties (including the price you may sell your work for commercial purposes). OtaDigi will reserve a right to publish some (separately agreeable) part of your work as a part of OtaDigi content when the result of the competition will be published. The work you'll send to the competition, shall be equipped by a closed envelope including a free code of six marks (three numbers + three letters) like 123ABC and your name and full contact information (competition form) enclosed to this envelope. If there are several persons in your team you should mention all names, roles in the project and contact information inside this same envelope (every participant fills one form each). You may leave several works to this competition. The documents and any other material will not be returned to you. If you want any material back you shall come personally to get it from VTT by some suitable time agreed by Hannu Kuukkanen. We will store the works during 12 months. After this period of time the works will be destroyed. Your competitive work shall be submitted latest in 30.04.08
at 16:00 in VTT Vuorimiehentie 3, Otaniemi, Espoo (Digitalo) in
one closed envelope (including the separate closed code envelope and
your entry form and A4 description of your work mentioned before in
this text and all the other material). The post stamp of the same date
